With a background in graphic design and technical illustration, Sandra Lynn brings a sophisticated yet subtle level of vibrant realism to her still life and floral images. Sandra works in watercolor, pastels and acrylics. She is influenced by her love of the old Masters and sometimes uses the same glazing technique in her own work. The light and happiness one feels when seeing her art proves that she has accomplished her immediate goals as an artist. Her ultimate goal is to share her vision of truth, peace, and global fellowship through her artwork, while dealing with the realities of everyday life in the trenches.
“I love to paint things that make people feel happy and touch your soul. Trompe l'oeil can be really fun to do. I enjoy the challenge of making things pop off the page. I love to experiment and learn new techniques.”
Working in the Aerospace Industry, Sandra began working as a Technical Illustrator at the age of 19 and continued with her career for over 25 years. She won several STC awards (Society for Technical Communications) before quitting her career in 1999. Sandra is has been self employed ever since.
Sandra Lynn freelances in illustration, graphic and web design, as well as costume design. She does commissioned work, including large murals and portraits, working from photographs as reference. Large pieces are not a problem.
Sandra Lynn was a featured artist in the Modesto Bee in February of 2009.
